We have several offices in Central and Southern England and have ambitious plans to expand our business. To support the organisation’s growth, we have created a new opportunity for a Corporate Accounts Assistant to join our Bristol (Paulton) accounts team on a part-time basis. This role will be 18-22 hours per week, based around core working hours of 9:00am to 2:30pm (with some flexibility). This position also includes a comprehensive induction and full funding to pursue professional qualifications.
The Role
  • Preparing a small portfolio of dormant accounts and ensuring completion to deadline
  • Preparing and/or reviewing non-complex small company accounts and Corporation tax returns
  • Drafting more complex small company accounts to be passed for completion and review by a senior team member
  • Basic dividend planning, with assistance
  • Drafting basic partnership and non-resident company tax returns for review prior to submission
  • Use of Xero for bookkeeping assistance and updating of clients records following accounts preparation
  • Assistance with providing information to our UK and US tax teams on clients’ corporate position

About You
  • You will be AAT Level 3/4 or ACCA/ACA Part-Qualified
  • Experience preparing Company accounts using accounting software
  • Preference for a University degree with at least a 2:1 or minimum 3 A-Levels (A, B, B or above) or equivalent
  • Able to manage own workload and be a flexible team-player
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to produce high quality work in a fast-paced environment
  • A confident, positive, and professional approach
  • Strong IT skills, specifically Excel and able to pick up new IT packages quickly
  • Strong attention to detail
  • The following would be desirable, but is not required:
    1. Knowledge and experience of VAT
    2. Knowledge of basic LLP Accounts
    3. Experience of clients with international elements
    4. Knowledge of Xero (training will be provided)
